Love Story:
Markus and Megan grew up half a world apart, but they found one another through social networking in 2004 and remained friends for years. In 2012, they decided it was time to meet face to face and begin the life together that they had planned for so long. Markus traveled from England to Southern California to sweep Megan off her feet, which he very well did. They traveled back and forth for a few years until Markus knelt down on one knee to ask Megan the question she always dreamt he would ask. Markus proposed on New Year’s Eve of 2014 in the privacy of their home.

Love Note:
The couple has always enjoyed traveling to different countries. Their favorite country is Italy for its romance and old world charm. It is for this reason that they planned to have an old-fashioned, Italian inspired wedding. They traveled to Venice, Italy for their honeymoon and cherished every moment together walking alongside the Venetian canals, hand in hand.

Love Story:
Derek proposed to Maggie by having her help him film an instructional video on how to use a microscope for one of his teaching credential courses. Towards the end of the video, he requested she view one last slide. On the slide, there were individual grains of rice which spelled the words, “Maggie Will You Marry Me?”

Love Note:
Instead of the traditional evening wedding, Derek and Maggie instead decided to have a morning ceremony. Their morning ceremony involved a brunch reception and incorporated a mimosa and bloody mary bar!

Love Story:
Emily and Jim were longtime friends turned high school sweethearts. They don’t quite remember first meeting each other, but it was likely in the fifth grade. It wasn’t until they sat next to each other in Spanish class during their sophomore year of high school that they started to hang out more though. Jim kept getting them in trouble in class for making Emily laugh, but they didn’t start dating until their junior summer. After ten years of long distance that included undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs, Emily and Jim got engaged!

Love Note:
Emily and Jim share a love of Yosemite, especially when blanketed in snow, so it was a natural choice for them to have their wedding at the famed Yosemite hotel.
