Love Story:
Andre and Jennifer met on a Virgin America flight from LA to San Francisco.  Jennifer saw him from across the terminal and felt like she had to meet him. They happened to be sitting in the same row, without anyone in-between, so Jennifer started up a conversation. They exchanged information, and the next day, Jennifer called one of her closest friends, Dana Von Sternberg (who officiated the wedding) and told him: “I have met the man I am going to marry!” They had an instant connection and worked on their relationship before Jennifer met the children.  Three years after meeting the children, Jennifer and Andre finally tied the knot!  It was really worth the wait and was important to both Andre and Jennifer to create a family and home with the kids first, make them feel comfortable and really feel like they were included in the wedding and marriage.

Love Note:
Andre proposed to Jennifer on September 14th, 2013 at the Napa Valley Reserve in St. Helena, CA. He had originally planned on proposing in Paris, but Jennifer was adamant about wanting the kids to be able to celebrate with them right after the proposal. So instead, Andre planned a surprise proposal for Jennifer in Napa while they were visiting Andre’s mother in St. Helena. He told Jennifer they were going to a fictitious wine event at the Reserve. They jumped into the car, but they were running late and Andre said he forgot his wallet. He ran back into his mother’s house where the kids were to tell them that he really was going to propose to Jennifer! At the Reserve, the couple was told the last event was still finishing up, so they gave them champagne and let them walk around the property. Andre found a secluded spot, got down on one knee and started his proposal. Just as he was finishing, their dog Lizzie ran up with the ring tied around her collar! Andre also had a photographer hiding in the bushes, so they have amazing photos of the proposal. Jennifer and Andre then headed back to his mother’s house to celebrate with the kids, but Andre’s surprises didn’t just end there. He had planned a luncheon with his family and all of Jennifer’s closest friends.  It was a beautiful and romantic afternoon!
