Love Story:
Mariel always finds out Ron’s surprises. Therefore, to keep from her finding out about the proposal, he planned for a year, keeping it a secret from her family until asking them for permission the week before! Mariel was so surprised with the proposal, and it was the first time Ron ever was able to pull off a surprise!

Love Note:
Mariel and Ron dated for seventeen years before getting married. They started as high school sweethearts and grew together as individuals and a couple!

Love Note:
It was a brisk, autumn day on Friday, November 23, 2012 which was the day after Thanksgiving. Asia met Dave at his office since he had to work a half day. Dave recalls Asia looking very pretty in her red winter coat. The plan was to head to the movies and then have dinner. The two saw Argo and during the opening credits, Asia won Dave’s heart over by pulling out a bottle of wine, twist off! This absolutely blew Dave’s mind away since he never thought of drinking in a movie theater before. They sat in the back row enjoying vino, each other’s company and a bearded Ben Affleck. After the movie, the two bar hopped around Murray Hill, grabbed some appies at Cask Bar & Kitchen and ended the night doing shots and listening to 80’s music at the Joshua Tree. The first date led to an annual day after Thanksgiving tradition for Asia and Dave. Every year they head to the movies with a bottle of wine and have a lovely dinner afterwards.

Love Story:
On Memorial Day weekend 2015, Asia and Dave went to Martha’s Vineyard. They spent a full day biking across the island, which was a pedestrian 40 miles. Dave, with a very sore bottom, suggested grabbing a bottle of wine and enjoying the sunset from the Edgartown Lighthouse (a favorite of Asia’s). After sipping on some vino and admiring the New England sunset, Dave dropped down to one knee and asked Asia to be his for life. Afterward, they enjoyed more wine and live music at a nearby art gallery and concluded the memorable day by having a delicious meal at Alchemy.
