Love Note from the Groom:
Late one afternoon after playing golf with a group of friends, we grabbed lunch in Claremont. As I walked through the entrance of the restaurant I saw her. I got the attention of the hostess and asked if the pretty blonde back there had a boyfriend. Without skipping a beat the hostess with a shout, “Hey Michelle, this guy wants to know if you have a boyfriend.” With a lot of blushing and amusement of a packed restaurant I introduced myself to the woman I was going to marry.
We quickly became inseparable, from that very first day we met until now you can only find a handful of days we haven’t spent together. We began to spend more and more time with each other’s families at dinners, on vacations, celebrating birthdays and holidays. I grew so close to her family that I am proud to say I am already Uncle Keith to Brooke, Sophia and Jazzmin, while Michelle has already become Auntie Michelle to Henry and Molly.
Not long ago our lives changed forever. Michelle had to go through a very frightening and extremely frustrating diagnosis. I was lucky to witness first hand how strong of woman is to truly flourish after being blindsided by a such a traumatic experience. I learned that there was no where I was ever going to be other than by her side no matter what life through at us.
We plan to continue to take trips all over the world together adding to their collection of adventures as much as we can. She has introduced me to the world of running, and snacks and I introduced her to living in a shoebox with two cats. It might not sound perfect to you, but we couldn’t be happier.
